Instructional Technology Master's Program Reflection 2: Pre-admission Verification Assessment
Reflection Prompt: How do the artifacts in your pre-competencies verification reflect your technology use as an educator? In light of your learning about TPACK, identify areas of improvement needed.
After reading, the Pre-competencies Verification makes me think twice. Eventhough I teach in our country for more than 3 years. I wasn't able to incorporate to much of technology in my teaching experience. For the reason that, modern day technology is not that much available there. Basically, I use power-point presentation and LCD projector, as I go through with my discussion I keep on talking in front which limits the students involvement which I see a not good strategy in facilitating learning. After I went through with the pre-admission verification assessment, I realize that I'm not in good level and a lot of things that I need to work on for to be said a modern day educator.
I'm still in exploring the wide world of technology as reference of education for my content area which is Math. Technology will be a great help in the field of math specially in terms of visualization of the abstract ideas. It can bring more precise overview of how mathematical concepts being applied in real world, which I also see benefits me a lot.
